Bantam White Lightning (Mr. Dairy) Wins Stoney Creek Sweetheart Tournament After 6 games with 5 wins and a tie, the White Lightning came through a tough group of 12 teams to capture the division championship.     ______________________________________________________________________________ Panthers Midget A win London Devilette’s Tournament   Leah Amson’s overtime goal, her second goal of the game, propelled our Midget A Panthers to victory  over the Whitby Wolves on Valentines day in the finals of the London Devilettes tournament. Goaltender Morgan Clarke was named game MVP after turning aside 22 shots, including a game saver on a breakaway late in the third period.  “Our players simply outworked a very fast and talented Whitby team” coach Dan Coldwell remarked. “Shift after shift we just didn’t let up on them. When our opportunities to score came we capitalized. Jasmine and Natalie scored four goals each while goalie Natalie had two shutouts and a goals against average of 0.60 to lead the team.  The team also had strong performances from forwards Alison, Hannah, Emerson, Florence, Nicole Shaw, Rose and Lauren.   The defense led by Katerina, Ali, Calista, Kailey and Makenna also played very well limiting their opponents to only three goals in the five game tournament.   Player of the game awards were handed out to Natalie, Jasmine, Makenna, Rose and to Alison in the final game. Co-Coaches Steve Claydon and Wally Charko were very happy with the team’s performance, “With every game each player became more determined to compete and when they got to the championship, as a team, they just never took their foot off the gas.  A true team victory was achieved”, said Claydon. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Congratulations to the Peewee AA team in reaching the  finals in the Bauer Invitational Tournament in Rochester N.Y.   ______________________________________________________________________________________ CYGHA 3rd Annual House League Tournament November 27, 28 and 29th Magna Centre, Newmarket Congratulations on a tremendous tournament!
