2010-11 Midget "A" Panther Walk For Those Who Can't
Raise $1,500 at Easter Seals Walk/Run
On Sunday May 30, 2010 our Midget A Panthers participated in the Easter Seals 10km Walk/Run through Newmarket raising $1,500 for their efforts. Easter Seals is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities.
ES Walk/Run Chairman Mike Smith was quick to praise our Panthers “I think it’s absolutely great to see a group of young athletes come out and participate in a meaningful event like this – they make our community a better place to live.
Team Captain Mikayla Johnson was the driving force for this team event, handling every aspect of her team’s involvement.
Coach Dan Coldwell commented “I’m very proud of our girls for taking the time to participate. They are certainly a credit to our organization, our community and girls hockey.”
